A New York-based investment firm and and affiliate acquired one of the two firms that co-ventured in buying the Newhall Land and Farming Company last January….

This change of ownership will not impact anything on the surface of the local scene, says Newhall Land spokeswoman Marlee Lauffer. 

LNR and Lennar Corporation purchased Newhall Land jointly for $990 million less than nine months ago.  The pending sale of LNR Property Corporation will not change operations locally.
