14 Freeway Multi-Vehicle Crash Traps One, Injures Others

A multi-vehicle crash involving a motor home left at least one person trapped and injured several others on the 14 Freeway in Acton Thursday.

Around 10:20 a.m. Thursday, first responders received reports of a multi-vehicle crash on the southbound 14 Freeway near Soledad Canyon Road in Acton, according to California Highway Patrol (CHP) Logs.

A motor home and five other vehicles were reported to be in the crash, according to CHP logs.

At least one person became trapped in their vehicle after it struck the center divider.

All southbound lanes of the 14 Freeway were blocked for at least an hour as crews worked to clear the wreckage, according to CHP officials. Northbound lanes are also temporarily blocked to allow emergency crews to extract a driver that hit the center divider.

Three ambulances were requested to respond to transport an unknown number of patients to the hospital.

The condition of the patients was not available.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
