Boy Scouts of America Bill Hart District members will present the 10th annual Leaders of Character Recognition Dinner fundraiser on October 9 at 6:00 p.m. at Hyatt Regency Hotel in Valencia.

The event recognizes those in the Santa Clarita Valley who have made an impact on local youth or the community as a whole, said Ransom Boynton, Bill Hart District executive.

Representative Steve Knight and his wife Lilly Knight will be honored at the dinner as well as Jersey Mike’s franchise owner, Steve Youlios and his wife Laura Youlios.

“This is a great opportunity to have these leaders in the room and hear their stories and how they’ve developed,” said Boynton.

Representative Steve Knight represents California’s 25th Congressional District in the US House of Representatives, which includes the communities throughout the Antelope, Santa Clarita and Simi Valleys.

Youlios owns Jersey Mike’s stores in Canyon Country, Stevenson Ranch and Valencia.

Past honorees include: Scott and Vanessa Wilk, Arif and Pam Halaby and Mike and Mary Delorenzo.
