California Ranks 42nd Among U.S. States That Are Using Communication Templates As Their New Social Superpower

A new study based on Google search data reveals that California recorded the 42nd-highest interest in communication templates and planning tools in the U.S.

The research by business productivity platform TEMPLATE.NET analyzed monthly Google search volumes for terms related to communication planning, including “comms plan template,” “communication plan template,” “communication strategy and plan,” “communication strategy template,” and “communication templates,” across all 50 U.S. states. The search volumes were then compared against population figures to identify which states most actively explore structured communication and strategic planning tools.

California ranks forty-second with 2.57 searches per 100,000 residents, 50% below the national average of 5.09 searches per 100,000 residents. With 39,663,800 residents, the Golden State generated 1,020 average monthly searches.

Looking at the study, a spokesperson from TEMPLATE.NET commented:

“This data reveals how communication is not just reshaping business culture, but fundamentally reprogramming how teams collaborate across the U.S. In states like California, we’re witnessing the rise of template-driven communication, where structured planning tools are becoming essential for effective messaging and strategic alignment.

“Americans no longer see communication planning as an afterthought, but as a strategic advantage that transforms organizational effectiveness. The search surge for communication templates points to a future where clarity replaces confusion, and workflows are increasingly powered by structured communication frameworks paired with strategic execution.

“Supporting this shift with reliable templates and proven communication frameworks will ensure the communication revolution empowers teams, businesses, and leaders nationwide.”
