He is being accused of killing Ledarion Allen Jr., 21, of Lancaster, in a Canyon Country apartment last May, and also injuring Shatari Shene Cooks, 30, with a gunshot wound.
She was reportedly in stable condition the day after the shooting, which took place on the 25700 block of Sierra Highway in Santa Clarita.
After the May 2015 shooting, McGlothan was identified as the main suspect with two other accomplices also sought for questioning.
McGlothan then led authorities on a nationwide manhunt that eventually ended less than a month later when he was stopped near a highway toll booth on the New York State Thruway in western New York, according to a statement from the police department’s Buffalo office.
He is being charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder.
McGlothan is being held at the Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles in lieu of $3,030,000 bail.
