The Castaic Animal Care Center wants to give you a cat.

That’s the goal behind their feline adoption program, which partnered with the ASPCA last year to make cat adoptions free at the facility.

The shelter, which does not kill animals due to space restrictions, is dedicated to providing good homes for the cats and kittens they care for.

All cats at the facility are spayed and neutered, microchipped and given all needed shots before they are turned over to their new family.

The only fee for adoption is the $5-8 cost of registering a pet in the Los Angeles County, which can be done while picking up the cat from the shelter.

Next week, Hallmark will premiere it’s “Summer Kitten Games,” which replaces olympic athletes with the best of the best of the feline race.

Officials from the care center urge anybody considering adoption to look at the cats available as soon as possible.

The Castaic Animal Care Center is located at 31044 Charlie Canyon Road in Castaic.
