Santa Clarita residents are invited to attend the meeting at Sulphur Springs Community School for the chance to learn about the project schedule and stages of construction.
The Santa Clarita City Council unanimously approved the plans and specifications for the project in September after awarding a construction contract to John S. Meek, Inc.
Construction on the bridge, which is expected to last approximately six months, is set to begin in early November, according to city officials.

The Lost Canyon Road Bridge Widening project will widen the Lost Canyon Road Bridge about 16 feet on the north side.
Upon completion, the bridge will have two four-foot shoulders with two 12-foot travel lanes and a 10-foot wide multi-use pathway for a future trail connecting to Sand Canyon Road.
“We’re always looking for opportunities to improve roadway congestion,” said Mayor Marsha McLean in a previous article. “By expanding the Lost Canyon Road Bridge, we can ease traffic in the Lost Canyon area and provide a multi-use trail for the many residents who enjoy biking, walking and running along them.”
The Lost Canyon Road Bridge Widening informational meeting is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29 in the multi-purpose room at Sulphur Springs Community School, located at 16628 Lost Canyon Road.
