SCV Highlight: City To Host Public Outreach Meeting For Proposed Lost Canyon Road Bridge Widening

The City of Santa Clarita will host a public outreach meeting to discuss the proposed Lost Canyon Road Bridge Widening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Sulphur Springs Community Schoollocated at 16628 Lost Canyon Road.

The proposed Lost Canyon Road Bridge Widening project will expand the bridge over the Santa Clara River by 16 feet on the north side of the bridge. The roadway improvements include the addition of two travel lanes, two shoulders and a multi-use pathway for future trail connection possibilities to Sand Canyon Road.

Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting in order to discuss the proposed improvements and meet the Project Manager.

“We’re always looking for opportunities to improve roadway congestion,” said Mayor Marsha McLean. “By expanding the Lost Canyon Road Bridge, we can ease traffic in the Lost Canyon area and provide a multi-use trail for the many residents who enjoy biking, walking and running along them.”
