A Canyon Country man was arrested Monday after he allegedly threatened his neighbor during an argument.

On Friday, the suspect and his neighbor were involved in a verbal argument on the 26500 block of Canary Court in Canyon Country, said Shirley Miller, a spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. 

During the argument, the suspect allegedly threatened harm against the victim and his family, according to Miller.

On Monday, deputies located the suspect and took him into custody.

Thomas Kostjal, 32, from Canyon Country, was arrested for criminal threats, a felony, according to Miller.

Kostjal was booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail and remains in custody as of Tuesday afternoon.
