The Domestic Violence Center (DVC) of Santa Clarita Valley will be hosting a jewelry making party at the Madison Townhomes Clubhouse from 6:30-9 p.m. on July 28.

The jewelry-making party is focused on companionship, celebration and creating hand-crafted necklaces, which will be given to DVC’s clients who have completed the 16-week domestic violence education class.

Through this gathering, DVC is also hoping to raise funds needed to allow the organization to continue to meet the needs of Santa Clarita regarding domestic violence.

DVC focuses on intervention, prevention and education surrounding domestic violence in the community.

Services include volunteer training, 30-day crisis shelter, 24-hour crisis hotline, parenting classes, court advocacy, individual therapy, group counseling, art expression workshops, teen services and public education.

DVC relies on the generosity of businesses and is asking for help and support through donations.

The community is being asked to assist DVC’s cause by contributing an appetizer tray on the day of the event or donating money to the cause.

If you have any questions, contact DVC’s Executive Director, Linda Davies, at 661-259-8175 or ldavies@dvc-scv.org.
