Landmark Opera Brings Mozart’s ‘The Magic Flute’ To Santa Clarita

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” and the tale of good versus evil is set to come to Santa Clarita next month at the Santa Clarita United Methodist Church.

The show is scheduled for Sunday, July 9, from 3 to 5 p.m.

Tickets for the event held by Landmark Opera start at $30 for general admission and $25 for students and seniors.

In the first part of the story, Prince Tamino and Papageno are searching for Pamina, who is the daughter of the Queen of the Night. Sarastro, who is the high priest of Isis and Osiris, has taken Pamina away.

Tamino finds out that Sarastro took her away from her mother to protect her from the bad things her mother was doing.

Tamino, Pamina, and Papageno come together for a short time with the help of a Magic Flute and a set of Magic Bells.

In the second part of the play, Tamino and Papageno learn about the secrets of Isis and Osiris. Tamino is motivated by a love of knowledge, while Papageno just wants to find a wife named Papagena.

The Priests instruct the two young men to avoid talking to any women during their probation period. Pamina is sent into depression because she is ignored by Tamino, whereas Papageno talks too much and almost loses Papagena.

Can the Magic Flute and Bells solve all problems? Do the boys have a chance of finding their soulmates? Come and see for yourself and experience the magic.
