An on-site movie theater shows a combination of old classics and current films twice a day, with popcorn, candy and other traditional movie theater snacks available.

“If you like the matinee movies, then you can enjoy a movie in the afternoon. If you’re more of an evening movie person, then we have a movie in the evening,” Dembkowski said. “It’s just these lush, beautiful, comfy chairs, … the beautiful surround sound and just that true movie theater experience.”

For added luxury, residents can stop by the community’s salon & day spa for a mani/pedi, massage or hair appointment.

A variety of state-of-the-art, senior-friendly exercise equipment is available for use at Oakmont’s fitness center, complete with knowledgeable instructors who can show residents how to use the equipment.  

For the animal lovers of the community, an on-site pet park with beautiful views is available for residents to bring their dogs, or to simply watch other residents’ dogs run and play.

Anytime dining is also available in a restaurant-style environment, complete with an outdoor patio as well.

“Now that the weather has been just so beautiful, we have the French accordion doors open all the way and you can just get that indoor/outdoor feeling,” Dembkowski said. “Even if you’re inside dining, you still get that beautiful feeling, and then our outdoor dining patio has fountains with that amazing view of Magic Mountain.”

While assisted living options are available to residents in need, many independent Oakmont residents chose to move in to relieve themselves of the burden of maintaining their home and enjoy the “cruiseship experience” of the luxury senior living community in Santa Clarita.

“It’s that peace of mind for the family knowing that their loved one is in this beautiful place,” Dembkowski said, “but they don’t have to worry about the upkeep of the home or that they’re not getting those three delicious meals a day.”
