A man in his 60s was transported to the hospital Tuesday after his vehicle reportedly went over an embankment on Highway 126 near Castaic, officials said.
Around 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, first responders received reports of a white Honda CRV going over an embankment on Highway 126 near Chiquito Canyon Road in Castaic, said Sky Cornell, an inspector with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“The man was feeling dizzy from the crash,” he said.
Officials were not able to verify how far down the embankment the vehicle went; however, a tow truck with at least 200 feet of cable was needed to retrieve the vehicle, said Josh Greengard, a spokesperson with the California Highway Patrol Newhall Office.
“The man was transported to the hospital,” Cornell said.
The condition of the victim is unknown as of Tuesday afternoon.
