The latest art exhibition set to be featured in City Hall’s First Floor Gallery is “Moments of Zen,” featuring 31 artists and 41 different pieces of art.
Inspired by the 2020 social media movement #MuesuemMomentsofZen, the artwork aims to give audiences a feeling of peace, clarity and zen. Many of the art pieces include photographic scenes, nature and reflection, according to City officials.
One featured artist, Brian McClean, hopes to provide healing through his photographs “Starry Night Harbor Island” and “Bioluminescence Ocean” showcased in the gallery. art pieces within the show range from a peaceful walk through nature to quiet photographic scenes and individuals having a moment of reflection.
Residents can view this exhibit from August 2 through October 1 during normal operating hours at City Hall, and a reception is set to be held for the exhibit on Wednesday August 11 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
