A Newhall robbery was reported at Maria’s Market Sunday evening, with the suspect reportedly stealing a t-shirt from the business, officials said.

The robbery in Newhall was reported at about 6:45 p.m. Sunday on the 23100 block of Lyons Avenue, according to a watch sergeant with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

The suspect allegedly brandished a firearm in their waistband during the robbery, according to an employee at the store.

After the reported robbery, the suspect fled on foot, with no arrests made as of 8 p.m. Sunday, according to Sheriff’s officials.

No shots fired or injuries were reported in the incident.
