Providence Holy Cross Medical Center is set to honor obstetrician, board member and department chairman Kevin Gallivan, M.D.’s memory with a blessing ceremony on Tuesday.
Hospital leaders and nurses, joined by Dr. Gallivan’s loved ones, are scheduled to unveil a gallery with a collection of 50 black-and-white portraits of families thriving after successful deliveries at the hospital, completed with a hand-drawn mural, according to hospital officials.
For 25 years, Dr. Gallivan cared for expectant mothers and their babies at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, bringing thousands of new lives into the world, according to officials.
Although he died of brain cancer in June at age 58, Dr. Gallivan’s memory lives on through his family, friends, and colleagues at the hospital.
All have worked together to fund a gallery hallway to honor his legacy and celebrate the joy of the new, thriving life born within the hospital walls each day.
Parking is set to be validated for visitor lots and there will be opportunities for photos, according to officials.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, March 19 at 11 a.m. at the Providence Holy Cross Medical Center.
