A Railroad Avenue car crash in Newhall Thursday sent a person to the hospital, officials said.

Just before 2 p.m., first responders received a call for a three-car traffic collision on Railroad Avenue and 15th Street in Newhall, according to officials.

“One person was transported,” said Austin Bennett, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

A silver vehicle was reportedly leaving a repair shop on Railroad Avenue and was hit by a yellow car, resulting in the silver car spinning out and hitting a box truck, according to first responders at the scene.

Southbound traffic on Railroad Avenue was affected by the collision, according to a witness.
