The victim was traveling eastbound on Soledad Canyon Road, near Kenroy Avenue, where they inadvertently cut off a driver in a black Lincoln SUV, according to Sheriff’s Station officials.

“The three lanes of eastbound Soledad turns into two lanes, so when the lanes merged they cut (the suspect) off,” said Lieutenant Somoano of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station.

Shortly after, the individuals in the black SUV pulled up along the victims and fired one shot, officials said.

Neither the victim’s vehicle or its occupants were struck by the round.
