The Cook Off featured over 40 different chilis, everything from sweet and tangy, to five-alarm and even pumpkin chili — all aiming for the top spot.
The contest was judged by a panel of professional chefs including Dustin Boole, executive chef at Newhall Refinery and Peyton Poulsen, executive chef at TPC Valencia — as well as the guests in attendance.
The Cook Off also helped the Spotlight Arts Center — their vision is to create a community hub that promotes visual and performing arts of all mediums.
The event also featured a silent auction to raise money for the nonprofits, line dancing, mechanical bull, and music from a live band.
The Cook Off was co-sponsored by Whitening Lightning and Gerard Cosmetics, which have been involved since the inception of the event.
