Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies in Newhall were alerted by a LoJack tracking system to the presence of a vehicle reported stolen out of the Las Vegas area.

Deputies were able to locate the car, and when they attempted to pull over the vehicle, around 8:10 p.m., the vehicle’s three occupants fled from deputies and headed northbound on Lyons Avenue, according to witness reports.

Deputies were able to catch up to and arrest two of the suspects. A third prompted a search of the area that lasted more than an hour as deputies set up a containment.

The third suspect ultimately was not found; however, the two other remaining suspects were arrested on charges in connection with drugs and the stolen vehicle, officials said. Their names were not immediately available.

  1. Yeah for LoJack

  2. Lyons Avenue runs east and west. The suspects could not have “headed northbound.”

  3. I saw it happen and they had our street blocked off. They towed a white mazda rx7 . Not surprised the 3rd person got away that area is so Freakin dark.

  4. My car was stolen from the Ralph’s at Stevenson ranch. Awesome town isn’t awesome any more
