In case you missed it, The Trump Organization is not building a hotel in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Following eight years of tradition, the KHTS team wrote a satirical article for April Fool’s Day about President Donald Trump’s company coming to Santa Clarita.
The entire staff of KHTS AM-1220 loves to live and work in this community, and on April 1, every year, it becomes that much more fun.
We take part in the annual poking fun at ourselves, our elected officials and some of the other things that make the Santa Clarita Valley great, as well as celebrate what makes us unique.
With all satire, poking fun at our sensitivities and touching nerves is usually the best way to create an open dialogue. That happened the year we “placed a toll booth going into Canyon Country” and made fun of the area of town we personally live and work in… as is what happened with this one, based on the feedback below…
With that said, your feedback is appreciated, and will be taken into consideration before next year’s April Fool’s Day… and thank you to everyone who cared enough to communicate with us.
The article and video were met with comments of both support and opposition — but mostly laughs.
This year’s article follows the 2016 piece about the ‘Real Housewives of Santa Clarita’ featuring local leaders in the Santa Clarita Valley.
