Anyone interested in donating can give a new, unwrapped toy at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s lobby anytime until the end of the drive, a news release said.

Deputies are officially kicking off the toy drive with KHTS AM 1220 and Frontier Toyota on Dec. 6, 2017 from 4 to 7 pm at the Frontier Toyota dealership, located at 23621 Creekside Road in Santa Clarita, the news release said.

“KHTS has partnered with the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s deputies for their annual sheriff’s toy drive for the past 15 years.” Carl Goldman, owner of KHTS 1220 newsroom said. “We’re proud to have Frontier Toyota join us this year to assist in making sure that every child in Santa Clarita gets to celebrate Christmas with a toy.”

Donors will be provided collection bins throughout the valley starting December 6, 2017, when the toy drive officially begins, Fanny Lapkin, community relations deputy and coordinator for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Annual Toy Drive said.

The community has been very generous in the past years, according to Lapkin.

“Every year the station gives the toys to between 7 and 9 nonprofits.” Lapkin said. “This year the toy drive may also reach another two non-profits depending on how many toys received.”
