SCV Sheriff’s Station presents “Coffee with a Cop” - Top Things to do in Santa Clarita

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Invites Community To Have ‘Coffee With A Cop’

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies from the Crime Prevention Unit are set to host “Coffee with a Cop,” an event designed to help build a stronger connection with the community, on Wednesday.

The event is designed to “build connections with residents and the Sheriff’s deputies,” according to Shirley Miller, spokesperson for Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

In an effort to connect the community with those who serve and protect it, Coffee with a Cop gives Santa Clarita residents the chance to sit down and have coffee with some of the local deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Though this is the first Coffee with a Cop event for 2019, deputies have been participating for three years, and are expected to hold these kinds of events several times a year, according to officials.

Coffee with a Cop is a nationwide enterprise opening communication for “better understanding between citizens and law enforcement.” The informal setting breaks down barriers and lets residents talk about their concerns, according to officials.

The event is open to all Santa Clarita residents, and is set to be located at the McDonald’s on 27618 The Old Road on Wednesday, March 27 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
