Ella, a 5-month-old Pomeranian puppy, has been returned to her owner after being reportedly stolen from her owner and sold on Craigslist last week by the woman’s vengeful ex-boyfriend.

The family that bought Ella saw her on a KTLA news special on Wednesday and quickly returned her to her owner, Ashley Farley, according to Farley’s Facebook page.

Farley offered heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped get the story out in order to find Ella safe and sound.

“I never would have been able to find her if it wasn’t for everyone helping and getting the word out,” said Farley. “I’m just so grateful that she is home.”

On Wednesday night, Farley received a phone call, just after one of her televised interviews had aired. The couple from Encino who had innocently bought Ella the week before had seen the interview, and had immediately scrambled to get in contact with Farley.

“They were the nicest couple I’ve ever met, Farley said, mentioning that they had decided to stay in touch. “They want so see how she is doing and watch her in the future.”

After a veterinarian’s visit, Ella has been pronounced none the worse for her harrowing adventure, and is scheduled to receive her last shot in the next few weeks. Farley has decided to whatever she can to thank the kind people who came to love Ella in the week that they cared for her, but only after recovering from the stress of the last week.

“I was so terrified, now it’s time to make up for the week that we missed,” said Farley. “I’m just so lucky it was only a week.”

Ella  was reportedly stolen from her owner and sold on Craigslist by the woman’s vengeful ex-boyfriend on June 11, and the online community rallied to help find her.

The puppy was stolen by her owner’s ex-boyfriend while her owner was at work, and then sold on Craigslist to an unknown buyer.

Farley moved to Santa Clarita from Reno, Nevada to pursue her dream of becoming a professional singer under the stage name Ashley Monèt.

Farley said she felt lonely after her move due to having no friends or family nearby and decided to get a pet for company and emotional support.
