Valencia High School Marching Band Performs In Disneyland Main Street Parade (VIDEO)

The Valencia High School Marching Band and Color Guard recently performed at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim.

A total of 103 Valencia High School students traveled to perform during one of the “world’s most watched parades” on Disneyland’s Main Street, according to school officials.

“The trip would not have been successful without the efforts of the Valencia High Marching Band and Color Guard Booster parents,” said Booster President Channon Morris. “They work tirelessly behind the scenes to support the students. A special thank you to all Valencia High School parents for supporting the students and the school’s music programs.”

The group was selected to be the featured performance during the parade, marching before thousands of international spectators that entertained both young and old.

The students performed the instrumental version of “Fantasmic” in which the theme is about the power of imagination.

“To march and perform in the Disneyland Main Street Parade will be a cherished memory through this experience,” said Band Director Mark Judd. “They worked incredibly hard in such a short period of time to achieve excellence. They understood that their performance will be part of the magical Disney experience that the audience watching will remember forever.”

The students ended the day with Disneyland’s new high-energy projection light show and celebration song “It’s A Good Time,” which coincidentally captured the entire experience of the day, according to officials.

“Our school mission is to prepare students to meet the challenges of the future and to become responsible citizens through relevant learning opportunities, community involvement, innovative technology, and teamwork,” said Judd. “Each student will develop the knowledge, skills, and character necessary to succeed through opportunities like the Disneyland Community Arts Showcase.”
