One individual was sent to the hospital with unknown injuries after a traffic collision caused their vehicle to flip over in Canyon Country Saturday morning.
The two-car collision occurred at 8:46 a.m., at the intersection of Sierra Highway and Via Princessa in Canyon Country Saturday.
While the exact circumstances of the crash are still unclear, the collision did result in one of the vehicles, a blue Mazda, flipping over in the middle of the busy intersection.
The crash blocked the intersection for over half-an-hour, prompting deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station to reroute traffic while the scene was under investigation.
The intersection was eventually reopened as of 9:24 a.m. after debris was cleared from the roadway.
The occupant of the flipped vehicle was sent to the hospital with unknown injuries, and she remains unidentified due to her status as a minor, according to officials with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
No information was made available regarding the status of the second driver involved in the collision.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
