The event is scheduled for Sunday June 24, at the Ice Station Valencia and is free to anyone interested in attending. The charity car show is set to feature different car clubs showing off cars of all different ages and styles.

The Valencia ice station is also planning on having a barbecue, ice skating, a DJ and different vendors at the event, with a portion of the proceeds they make set to go back to the Wounded Heroes Fund.

“During the event, $1 from every regular sold ice skating pass will be donated to the Wounded Heroes Fund,” said Tiffany Clark, bar and restaurant manager at the Valencia Ice Station. “The money that is being donated to the Wounded Heroes Fund will be coming from the registration fees, the barbecue and ice skating fees.”

At the end of the event, four different trophies will be given away to the different clubs, voted on by the members of the charity and the spectators.

The Charity Choice Award, The People’s Choice Award, The Best Modern Car Award (for cars from 1994 and newer) and The Best Classic Car Award (for cars from 1993 and older).

Throughout the day, members from the Wounded Heroes Fund are set to vote for the car they feel should win the Charity Choice Award, and the spectators in attendance are set to vote for the car they feel should win the People’s Choice Award. Event organizers are still determining how the modern and classic car awards will be chosen.

The event is free but a donation box will be set up for anyone who wants to donate directly to the Wounded Heroes Fund.

The Charity Car Show is being held at the Valencia Ice Station on Sunday, June 24 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Valencia Ice Station is located at 27745 Smyth Drive, Valencia.

Anybody interested in entering a car in the show can do so by clicking here. Pre-registration costs $25 or $45 the day of the event.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
