Valencia Town Center Mall Evacuated Due To Potential ‘Disruptive Activity’

The Westfield Valencia Town Center instructed business owners and customers throughout the mall to leave the area Friday due to potential “disruptive activity.”

Although the main indoor mall complex has remained closed for over two months except for certain curbside services, businesses in the sprawling outdoor complex have been allowed to reopen under County health guidelines.

On Friday, business owners and customers in businesses located on property owned by CBRE property reported that they were ushered out of the area by security, while other business owners and employees on property owned by Westfield received an emergency notification from the town center.

“At this time, we believe that disruptive activity will take place at the center,” read the emergency notification “If you haven’t already done so, please cease activity immediately and leave the center.”

A Westfield Valencia Town Center spokesperson was aware of the emergency notification but was unable to make further comment as of Friday.

The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s station is not aware of any specific threat to the Valencia Town Center at this time, according to Spokesperson Shirley Miller.

On Tuesday, officials with the Westfield Valencia Town Center sent an email to employees announcing that they would be delaying the reopening of the mall for indoor shopping due to protests scheduled to take place in the area.

“Along with the reopening date being pushed, we have decided to halt all curbside offering, effective immediately, out of an abundance of caution,” the email reads.

Officials with the town center could not confirm an official reopening date as of Tuesday afternoon.

As of 11:15 a.m. Friday, there are no protestors in the area of the Westfield Valencia Town Center, according to officials on scene.

  1. Just wanted to share what this brave black lady had to say I think her videos are worth listening to she’s pretty awesome for stating her opinion.

  2. If BLM has any leadership, they should put out message that clarifies and urges the public, that they are the party of peace and tolerance. Until that time businesses remain closed (such as The Town Center) out of fear of violence from BLM followers, and many people remain unemployed from all the violence in their wake.

Where was BLM when over 50 blacks shot each other this past New Year’s Eve, and 10 more ?black vs black) were shot over Memorial Day weekend in Chicago? Did they show any sympathy for the 4 x courageous police officers shot last weekend in Las Vegas, or the Secret Service Agents injured while protecting the White House? Did they get on a knee and pray for them, and their families? I RESPECTFULLY disagree with BLM and their operations. It will be interesting to see who has been providing funding to them to mobilize across the country to commit crimes.
