Valencia Flyers Youth Hockey Club members are happy to announce their first ever Western Hoedown fundraising event this weekend.

The Valencia Flyers are hosting Ice Station and Santa Clarita families on Saturday, April 8, from 3-7 p.m., at Gilchrist Farm for a fun day filled with carnival games, a petting zoo, live music & line dancing, hayrides, horse & pony rides, a silent auction, and a delicious BBQ.

The Valencia Flyers Western Hoedown is a fun-filled event designed for the entire family, with tickets on sale now at the Ice Station front desk for $20 each.

Every general admission includes entry into the hoedown festival and five raffle tickets to be used towards the BBQ and attractions. Additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase for $5 each or five for $20.
The Valencia Flyers Youth Hockey club is a non-profit organization dedicated to the support and development of hockey players between the ages of 5-18.

The Flyers have been operating for the last 16 years out of Ice Station Valencia, fielding 8-10 teams annually that compete not only here in California but throughout North America. Each year, several Flyers teams are recognized on the national level.

Currently, the Flyers have alumni playing in the National Hockey League, the American Hockey League, NCAA Division 1, 2 & 3 programs as well as several professional leagues throughout the world.
Without the generous donations and support from the Santa Clarita valley, the program would not be possible.

The funds raised at the Western Hoedown helps defray the rising costs of safety equipment, training, and travel expenses that the organization and its families incur.

Additionally, a portion of the funds raised will be applied to the Valencia Flyers financial aid program for players and their families that are unable to meet the financial commitments required to play.
