Phoebe is a 4-year-old Cane Corso/Pit Bull mix with a heart as big as her blocky smile, and she’s one of the most beloved dogs among volunteers and staff at the Castaic Animal Care Center.

Phoebe (#A5677913) is a sweet girl with low to moderate energy, making her a great companion for relaxed walks, couch time, and everyday companionship.

She’s easy to walk on a leash, loves her treats, and is always eager to soak up affection. Volunteers describe her as an absolute angel who just wants to love on you, a gentle 89-pound presence who makes every day a little sweeter.

Phoebe was a former owner-surrendered dog adopted from the shelter in February. She was recently returned because her family moved and because she didn’t get along with the other dog in the home, so she would do best as the only pup.

With the shelter full, Phoebe is now urgently hoping for a second chance. She deserves a home where she can finally settle in, be adored, and spend the holidays as “Sweet P” under someone’s tree.

Phoebe is currently available for adoption at the Castaic Animal Care Center, located at 31044 N. Charlie Canyon Road in Castaic, CA 91384. The center is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed Sundays and holidays).
