Castaic Animal Care Center waives fees this Saturday in participation with statewide Adopt-a-pet day in an effort to unite furry friends with their forever homes!!

This Saturday on June 7, all seven animal care centers of the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control (DACC) are set to waive adoption fees in participation with Adopt-a-pet day!

“California Adopt-a-Pet Day is a wonderful opportunity to highlight the importance of pet adoption and encourage our community to open their hearts and homes to animals in need,” said DACC Director Marcia Mayeda. “By waiving adoption fees, we hope to make it easier for families to find their perfect match and give these deserving animals the loving homes they deserve.”

In addition to waived adoption fees, the DACC is set to host activities throughout the day, including meet-and-greets with adoptable pets and educational resources on responsible pet ownership.

If you are looking for a dog this Saturday with adventure in his bones, you can see it clear as day with this pup named Skinny Bones Jones!

Skinny Bones is 8 months old and has a hunger that only adventure can quench. At 42 pounds he is an active German Shepherd and would thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. He is smart and would make an eager hiking partner!

Skinny Bones is strong on a leash and needs a positive and patient family to guide him as he grows.

Castaic Animal Care Center is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday–Saturday, and is located at 31044 Charlie Canyon Road, Castaic. To see last week’s adoptable pet, click here.
