This year’s Super Bowl commercials featured big stars, including legend John Travolta who revisited his “Grease” roots in a T-Mobile commercial filmed at Bridgeport in Santa Clarita.
Santa Clarita residents familiar with Bridgeport could likely immediately recognize the homes along the street that Travolta, with Zach Braff and Donald Fasion, sang on.
The trio crooned about T-Mobile’s home Internet services to the tune of “Summer Nights” from the musical “Grease” starring Travolta and Olivia Newton-John in 1978.
A myriad of celebrities made appearances in the commercial event of the year, including Will Farrell, Brie Larson, Pete Davidson, Brian Cranston, Aaron Paul and more.
The Super Bowl is one of the most costly advertising chances for businesses, with 30-second spots going for $7 million, according to Entertainment Today.
Santa Clarita is no stranger to Super Bowl commercials and has often been the location for filming. Travolta joins a long line of actors who have filmed Super Bowl commercials in Santa Clarita.
