Well known stuntman and longtime Santa Clarita resident passes peacefully.

Jack Lilley, the actor and stuntman best known for his roles on ‘Little House on the Prairie’ has died at the age of 91, according to a Fox article.

The actor died peacefully in his sleep at the Motion Picture & Television Fund retirement home in Calabasas, California on Wednesday, according to son, Clint Lilley.

The actor played multiple roles on ‘Little House on the Prairie’ where his main role was as a stagecoach driver often seen transporting the characters in between towns on a horse-drawn carriage.

Lilley worked on the popular 1970s television series and was featured in several made for television movies in the ‘Little House’ franchise, including ‘Little House: Look Back to Yesterday’ in 1983 and ‘The Last Farewell’ and ‘Bless All the Dear Children,’ both of which aired in 1984.

The stuntman moved to Los Angeles from Texas as a child so his father could rent horses to movie studios.

Lilley followed in his fathers footsteps as a stuntman and had credits in more than 280 films, according to USA Today.

  1. My condolences to Clay, Clint and the family. Is Irene still alive? I had good times hanging out and riding there in Saugus. I wish you all well.
