Sheriff’s Station officials have confirmed that an Arson/Explosives Team cleared a report of a suspicious package in Canyon Country.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies were called to the theater around 4:30 p.m. regarding a report of a suspicious package at the Regal Theater in Canyon Country.
Deputies with the Sheriff’s Department’s Arson/Explosives Team was on scene by shortly after 5 p.m. and working to investigate.
A briefcase was picked up by the Arson/Explosives Team, which had cleared the scene by 7:45 p.m., according to Sheriff’s Station officials. Deputies did not yet have any information to release regarding the contents of the suspicious package at this time.
