The Saddle Ranch Chop House in Valencia has reportedly closed down permanently, becoming one of a growing number of local businesses to be shut down due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
After operating outside of the Westfield Valencia Town Center for more than three years, the Saddle Ranch Chop House Valencia location has closed its doors permanently.
Both the interior and exterior dining areas of the restaurant were in the process of being removed, and moving vans could be seen with officials taking items out of the location on Wednesday afternoon.
The Valencia location is no longer listed on the Saddle Ranch website, and phone calls to the restaurant were still playing their temporary closure voicemail message.
The restaurant has been closed down since Los Angeles County closed down outdoor dining for all restaurants in the county of November of last year, having briefly re-opened their outdoor services for several months prior to that.

Saddle Ranch’s Valencia location joins a growing list of Santa Clarita businesses forced to shut down due to the economic fallout caused by recent shutdowns implemented by public health officials as they continue to battle the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Most recently, the Coco’s Bakery in Canyon Country permanently closed its doors. There is no exact count available for how many locations have been forced to close since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 as of Wednesday.
Officials with Saddle Ranch were unavailable for comment as of Wednesday afternoon.

Wish Friday’s was still there.
I’m with you.
I’m with you. TGIF was the best
Sad so many business have closed, but you can go across the way to Slater’s 50/50. The owner is really nice and has good staff. Food is good. Ryan F is a great waiter there!
Have wanted to try Slater’s. Maybe once the weather warms up I will do that. Of course that is dependent on outdoor dining still being an option. These days you never know from week to week let alone day to day if that will remain an option. I guess as long as the recall hangs over the governor’s head restaurants should be able to continue outdoor dining.
If you’re a drinker. Try their version of the old fashioned. It’s IMO, perfect.
Just Wondering…was it really COVID that shut this business down? Did all the employees get infected with the virus so they could no longer operate? I don’t think so. Could it have been the government leaders and their restrictions that shutdown this business and others in town? Quite certainly. You can find arguments on both sides, for and against, the policies invoked during COVID. Shouldn’t it be acknowledged that a choice was made to severely restrict the operations of these businesses and that’s what caused them to fail, not COVID? Just wondering.
Saddle Ranch was just limping along before COVID even happened. They were always slow. It was doomed even before covid or govt restrictions. That was just the nail in the coffin for them. TGIF was always busy and did really well there. Too bad.
I echo the recommendation for Slater’s. Good food, good drinks. Pricey hamburgers, but treat yourself and enjoy!
Didn’t help that they were also caught serving alcohol to minors at one point.
Shocker! Their food started to taste horrible, it was getting dirty inside.:-(
It was actually part of the settlement they agreed to with Westfield after a 2.5 year litigation. With the $5 million that Westfield agreed to pay due to damages caused Saddle Ranch had to agree to close its doors. Do your research before you comment.
