The 2017 Celebrity Waiter Dinner event is welcoming SCV Senior Center supporters to celebrate with “Let the Music Play.”

This year, the event’s sponsors will release their musical and decorative creativity at their guests’ tables, celebrating their favorite songs and competing against each other to win for best table theme and decorations.

Volunteer waiters also get to join in on the fun and competition by planning some fundraising prior to the event before competing to get the most “tips” to win the Favorite Waiter award.

Along with the many different waiters’ shenanigans at each table, the night will also include music, dancing, an auction and other live entertainment.

Setting the fundraising goal of $100,000, the proceeds from this dinner will go on to support Senior Center programs such as hosted recreational, educational and support groups, home delivered meals for seniors at home, the Handyworker program, and respite day care.

Premium tables are available now at levels spanning from the $10,000 presenting sponsorship to $5,000, $3,500 and $1,500 with each seating 10 guests a table.

Each sponsorship comes with many perks, such as preferred table location, wine selection and other benefits depending on sponsorship level.

Individual seats can be reserved on space-available basis for $150 each, which includes $50 in scrip which can be used to “tip” the waiter.

Working to provide a number of different perks for sponsors and individual guests, the committee is working hard to provide more benefits with a sponsorship as well as to offer a selection of new and interesting items to buy on auction at the dinner.

The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Hyatt Regency Valencia.
