This November,  local club dedicated to empowering women is honoring the longtime College of the Canyons CEO.

On Friday, Nov. 4, Zonta Club of SCV is recognizing Dianne Van Hook, who is California’s longest serving community college CEO and also an immense contributor to Zonta International, according to the organization.

The tribute itself will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, and the second time Zonta is honoring Van Hook. The first tribute came 25 years ago, when she became the youngest California community college CEO, a position she still holds today.

During the evening, guests can expect hors d’oeuvres, dinner, a live auction and the tribute itself. Opportunities for sponsorship are still available with packages that include the $5,000 Platinum Sponsor, the $2,500 Gold Sponsor and the $1,750 Mahogany Sponsor.

All sponsors will receive their own ten person table and may include premier table location, VIP parking, wine, advertising in the event journal, recognition at the event itself, signage and audio/visual recognition at the event, according to the level of sponsorship.

Individual dinner tickets will be $125 per person on a space-available basis after sponsorship tables have been accommodated.

Zonta’s annual Tribute to Women is the local club’s main fundraiser each year and helps to support such local programs as Girls’ Robotics, Court Advocacy for domestic violence victims, LifeForward workshops, the annual Women in Service program, and a number of scholarships and fellowships for outstanding women.

The local club also supports programs around the world that enrich the lives of women, through Zonta International.
