For the 16th consecutive year, the amusement park will collect food for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank during the annual “Bag-A-Ticket” holiday food drive held on Monday, Nov. 19.

Guests who take a full bag of non-perishable food items will receive a free park admission ticket, good for the same day as the donation.

“The need for food supplies continues to rise and more families than ever are going hungry,” said the company in a statement. “Help a family in need this holiday season with your donation and then treat your own family to an exciting day at Six Flags Magic Mountain.”

Some of the items that the food bank is in need of are:

· Canned Goods: beef stew, ravioli, cannelloni, spaghetti, tuna, peanut butter, yams, chicken, beef, fruits, vegetables, soups, baby food
· Packaged Items: hot cereal (grits, oatmeal, etc.), mashed potatoes, stuffing mix, powdered eggs, complete meals, pancake mixes, baby cereal, rice
· Drinks: coffee, juices in non-breakable containers, supplemental drinks, baby formula, dry milk

“Through the public’s generous donations, this drive continues to be one of the largest single-day food collection efforts for the Food Bank,” said Six Flags officials.

Park hours for Monday, Nov. 19 are 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Holiday in the Park begins at 5 p.m. Food items will be collected from 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.
