Antelope Valley Chevrolet Dealership To Donate $10,000 Toward New SUV For Family Of Santa Clarita Murder Victim

Antelope Valley Chevrolet dealership in Lancaster is donating $10,000 in funding to the family of Santa Clarita murder victim Michelle Dorsey in order to help them acquire a new vehicle to help care for her children.

A family-owned and operated dealership in Lancaster, Antelope Valley Chevrolet is donating $10,000 towards a new Chevrolet Suburban for Dorsey’s sister, Jessica Jordan, to assist in the care of her children.

“Were more than honored to assist Ms. Jordan with the proper transportation she now needs,” said Justin Gonzales, Dealer Principal for Antelope Valley Chevrolet. “ We salute our heroes and she is definitely one of them.”

Antelope Valley Chevrolet serves the cities of Lancaster, Northridge, Van Nuys, Bakersfield, Burbank, Palmdale, Santa Clarita, Victorville, Valencia and the surrounding communities, according to the website.

With the sudden expansion of their family to include the full-time care of three additional children, Jordan requires an SUV capable of seating all six children as well as two adults, with additional room from groceries or anything else the family may need to carry.

The Chevrolet Suburban selected for Dorsey’s family in total costs over $60,765 with the license and registration. Thanks to the donation by Antelope Valley Chevrolet, the price has been knocked down to approximately $50,765.

As of Friday, May 21, over $18,500 has been raised by members of the community to help buy the vehicle, and the Santa Clarita Coalition, the organizer of the fundraiser, plans to match all donations made by the community to obtain the vehicle.

Residents who want to donate to the Dorsey family online can do so through the Santa Clarita Disaster Coalition by clicking here.

Santa Clarita residents wanting to help by donating items to the family can drop their contributions off at KHTS Radio.

  1. The best part is that this isn’t just another big business doing this as a publicity move.
As someone who’s done business with this dealership, I can confidently say that this is truly a genuine act of kindness by the owner, Justin Gonzales, who’s naturally a good person with a good heart.
