“This is an event that our founders created, its safe space for families to come and see Santa and celebrate the holidays with families,” said Taylor Adachi, director of Carousel Ranch.
The event was specifically designed for children with special needs and an opportunity for families to socialize and celebrate the holiday season with other families, program staff and board.
The day was filled with Santa Crafts, The Old Town Carolers, smores over the fire, gifts and the sweet shop and more.

“The reason why we created this event is because it’s really hard for our students to go to the mall Santa and stand in line and here they get the one on one time with Santa. It’s not just take a picture and move on but they get a chance to sit and interact with one another,” said Adachi.
This year’s gift for the students and their siblings were donated by the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Department.
“It’s very important because we like to see the community come together especially when we incorporate the sheriff’s department and love to see the kids happy,” said Deputy Pena who was representing the SCV Sheriff’s Department at the event.
