Congresswoman Katie Hill, D-Agua Dulce, announced the launch of three expert advisory councils to operate within California’s 25th Congressional District and opened applications to the public.
The three advisory councils will consist of a Senior Advisory Council, African American Advisory Council and Latino Advisory Council.
“I am thankful that members of advisory councils will serve as ‘boots on the ground’ to provide valuable feedback and recommendations directly from the community regarding policies, programs and resources that enhance and support our district,” said Hill in a statement.
Specifically, the new councils will seek expert, solutions-based feedback and engage with the community around issues impacting residents, with a particular focus on the federal government’s ability to tackle those issues in creative ways, according to Hill’s office.
The open application period is scheduled to run through Friday, Aug. 16, during which interested applicants may submit completed applications online; via email here; via mail addressed to Congresswoman Katie Hill, 1445 E. Los Angeles Ave. Suite 206, Simi Valley, CA 93065 or may call Hill’s office at (661) 802-0244.
Online applications and more information about the process of applying for a position on one of the councils are available here.
