Detectives Ask For Public’s Help In Locating Missing Canyon Country Person

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Missing Persons Unit detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating Debbie Phipps, an at-risk missing person from Canyon Country who was last seen in early February.

Phipps is a 50-year-old black woman who was last seen on Feb. 7, 2021 at 9 a.m., on the 1500 block of Daffodil Ave of Canyon Country, according to Sheriff’s officials.

“(Phipps) left the above location with either a wheelchair or walker, and was seen getting on to several local buses within Santa Clarita,” reads an official statement released Friday.

Phipps is described as five feet tall, 120 lbs with brown eyes and short black hair, and walks with a limp.

She was last seen wearing a red sweater, grey sweatpants, a white scarf and black shoes.

Officials say that Ms. Phipps has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, and that her family is concerned for her well-being.

Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Missing Persons Unit at (323) 890-5500.

  1. Interesting, they described her color—but cover-up the color of evil doers! We should all tell the truths/facts, be it good or bad! Hope she’s found safe.
