Gilchrist Hosts Their ‘Spring Fling’

Gilchrist Farms hosted their annual “Spring Fling” over the course of three weekends to celebrate the new season.

Gilchrist welcomed the spring season with their “Spring Fling” for three weekends in a row beginning in late March and ending on Easter weekend.

“This is an exciting event and it’s usually geared towards springtime and the baby animals being born,” said Erin Goossenn, with Gilchrist.

During the event, families had the opportunity to participate in several events, including taking a photo with the Easter Bunny and multiple egg hunts.

Other activities families had the opportunity to participate in were petting goats, horseback riding, a wagon ride, a giant slide and a maze and so much more.

“Preparing for the event is a lot of work especially when it comes to the decorations and eggs for the egg hunt,” said Goossen.

Over thousands of families show up over the course of three weekends to participate in these events to celebrate the new season, according to officials.

“Well we live locally and this is our first time coming to the spring event. We usually come to the fall event and it’s been such nice weather we decided to bring our daughter and we just had so much fun,” one of the guests said.
