‘Halloween At Real Life Church’ To Return To Santa Clarita

“Halloween at Real Life Church” is set to return to Santa Clarita on Friday, where attendees can trick-or-treat for candy and take pictures with exotic animals, officials said.

This event is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 25 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., said Marilyn Lombardi, a spokesperson for Real Life Church.

“Instead of being outside fighting the weather, our trick-or-treating has moved inside,” Lombardi said.

All children are set to enjoy three stories of over 50 trick-or-treat booths, which is “sure to give your little monsters more than enough candy to hold them over until Halloween,” according to church officials.

However, the event is set to consist of more than just trick-or-treating, according to organizers.

“It’s not every day that you get to see jungle animals, so this year at Halloween at Real Life Church, you will get to see and take photos with a 4-foot red tegu lizard, an 8-foot albino python, a capuchin monkey, a cockatoo and let’s not forget about ‘Jax’ the giraffe,” reads a statement from the church.

Multiple food vendors are also expected to be at the event, according to officials.

Parking is now available on-site at the event, according to officials. However, due to the event being anticipated to attract around 6,000 people, event organizers are encouraging event-goers to use rideshare services to get to and from the event.

Real Life Church is still in need of help for volunteer positions, which include candy runners, trick-or-treat hosts, set up crews, tear down crews and more.

The event is free, but those who plan on attending are encouraged to download a ticket so that event organizers have an accurate count of who plans on attending.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
