Members of law enforcement from agencies across Southern California delivered pizza to the Saugus High School staff Wednesday, officials said.
Multiple vehicles from agencies not related to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department were seen at Saugus High School Wednesday, but were there for support, according to officials.
San Bernardino and Riverside County school resource officers came to visit and bring pizza to the staff, said Dave Caldwell, spokesperson for the William S. Hart Union High School District.
The gesture came just over a month after the Saugus High shooting, where three students died, including the gunman, according to Sheriff’s officials.
Students were let out of class on a minimum day Wednesday for finals, and some were concerned with the police presence on campus, according to a Saugus High parent.
The law enforcement personnel left campus after sending their support and pizza to the Saugus High staff.
