The Los Angeles County Fire Department officials have announced grass drills are scheduled to take place on Monday and Tuesday this week.
“Weather conditions will allow us to proceed with our grass drills today and tomorrow,” said a LACFD official release. “These drills are taking place just below the Castaic Dam. Please do not be alarmed if you see smoke [or] fire in that area.”
The drills may continue to beyond Tuesday, but they are monitored daily to ensure safety, said officials.
