Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Opens COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic

Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital is now offering the COVID-19 vaccine to those who qualify for it under Los Angeles County Department of Public Health guidelines.

A brand new COVID-19 vaccination site is arriving at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, with an appointment system already available online for Santa Clarita residents.

“Starting to roll them out is terrific, it’s great for the community,” said Patrick Moody, spokesman for the hospital. “The sooner than the better, but the bigger picture is beyond our control.”

Vaccines are by appointment only, with all appointments made through the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LADPH) website. Appointment times are available every Tuesday and Wednesday online, and Santa Clarita residents are recommended to make them quickly, as they tend to fill up in a matter of hours.

L.A. County is currently distributing vaccines based on a tier system, with the vaccine open to those in Phase 1A, which includes high-risk healthcare workers. To find out if you are eligible for a vaccine at this time, click here

Healthcare workers who are eligible for the vaccine right now and plan on receiving it at a LADPH vaccination site must bring one of four documents proving their occupation. This could include a healthcare worker employee badge with photo, professional license and photo ID, signed letter from employer on facility letterhead and a photo ID, or a payment stub from a healthcare provider with your name and a photo ID.

In regards to future vaccine distribution plans at Henry Mayo, Moody says that officials plan to stay open for a minimum of six weeks with the possibility for extensions.

The vaccine clinic is located in the Henry Mayo Center at 23803 McBean Parkway and is open between 8:15 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Monday through Friday.

  1. Please advise when vaccine is available for 77 years olds with lung cancer.

  2. You should be 1BA. My parents are 81/82 with Diabetes, heart disease, and cancer survivor. They are 1BA.

  3. It’s rotten inmates were released earlier this year and probably still are because of the virus. Now I’ve read elsewhere that the inmates got the vaccine before our elderly population.. this is WRONG ! inmates are in a controlled environment, lock them on their cells/pods no socializing! My elderly father can’t get the vaccine yet and he has medical concerns as I do someone has to go out and get supplies, groceries, ect. That’s me. I hope I don’t get the virus and if I do I’ll be even more angry at our useless Ca “leaders”.
I signed a newsom recall , I hope we get rid of him!!

  4. I trying to get my parents in their 80’s with health conditions vaccinated. I’ve been doing all their shopping for them since March 2020. This is SO Wrong that you open it up to 65 and older and prisoners, homeless before you take care of the 75 and older that have paid taxes their whole life!!!!!

  5. When can I be vacinated? I’m phase 1a

  6. How do I sign up to get the vaccine?? I’m 66.

  7. Is this a drive up covid vaccine?

  8. After collecting necessary information about a vaccine recipient, show available dates and time for selection by a recipient. It would be much easier to get an appointment. At this moment, I can see no opening slot to get covid-19 vaccination shot.

  9. I have the appointment for me and my wife for the second dose on Monday 15 Feb
This 4 days less than two weeks
Should I change my app ointment and how?
    Or keep the date
