Reyes Winery To Host Groundbreaking Event For Newhall Location

Reyes Winery is set to host a groundbreaking event in August to celebrate their newest location on Main Street in Newhall, officials said.

The new winery, dubbed “Reyes Winery on Main” started construction on Monday near the corner of Main and 8th Streets in Old Town Newhall.

The location is set to be a three-story mixed use building, which is set to include a restaurant, office and meeting space, and a roof-top open-space tasting room to display its award-winning wines.

Due to a passion for wine and winemaking, founder Robert Reyes envisioned having a small vineyard to produce small amounts of ultra-premium wines for family and friends, which has blossomed into a striving winery with a tasting room open on weekends.

The land the winery currently has was acquired in 2002, and the 16-acre property was planted in 2004, according to officials.

The winery has produced many award-winning wines, which include single varietal, Amber, red blends, dessert wines and Rosés, according to officials.

Reyes Winery has won over 300 awards and medals as of July 1, 2019.

“Reyes Winery emphasizes quality in every facet of production to ensure that once consumers taste their wines, they recognize the quality and craftsmanship that goes into every bottle,” reads a statement from Reyes Winery Monday.

The mission of the winery is to deliver the highest quality wine produced in Los Angeles County at a fair price, according to officials.

The winery believes the quality of its wines will ultimately speak for itself when compared with other ultra-premium wines on the market.

The groundbreaking event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, Aug. 1 at 5:30 p.m. at 24329 Main Street.

To RSVP for the event, send an email here, and reserve a spot by July 25.

  1. Save me a spot for the grand opening!

  2. Another alcohol establishment , just what this town needs is more places to drink. Last week it was reported 47.8% of our crimes in town are involving alcohol. Main street is scheduled to be adding three more drinking establishments. Enough is enough with these places and all the Starbucks in our town

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
