Rite Aid is set to yet again shut down over 70 stores across the nation this year due to financial hardships. Will we lose our one and only location?
Over 70 Rite Aid stores nationwide are set to be closed across the United States as a part of the retailer’s voluntary bankruptcy, however Santa Clarita’s lone remaining location is expected to remain open, for now.
Back in October, Rite Aid voluntarily filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and sold some locations in order to stay afloat, according to officials.
Last year, the drug store closed 150 locations and are set to close a total of 431 Rite Aids this year.
During this wave of closings, the drug store is set to shutter 77 locations.
The Rite Aid located in the Sand Canyon Plaza at 16642 Soledad Canyon Road is set to remain open until further notice.
Last August, the Rite Aid located off of McBean and Decoro in Valencia shut down, closing flowing the shuttering of the nearby location at Bouquet and Seco Canyon Roads.
