ROAD CLOSURE: Wednesday, the City of Santa Clarita announced that it would close a portion of San Francisquito Canyon Road north of Santa Clarita for nearly two months, with plans to reopen July 23.
Part of San Francisquito Canyon Road is set to be closed from Wednesday, June 8, until Friday, July 22, according to the City of Santa Clarita.
“People who live within the closure area will be allowed access to and from their homes,” Santa Clarita city officials stated. “Motorists heading north of the closure will need to take Bouquet Canyon Road as a detour.”
The closure of San Francisquito Canyon Road is set to be in place from Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., according to city officials.
San Francisquito Canyon Road is set to be closed between Elizabeth Lake Road and Mile Marker 5.96 to the south.
Expect other canyon roads to experience higher traffic volume as a result.
